Trek, A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers

NASHVILLE MUSICIANS PAY TRIBUTE TO
The Pioneers

Brought to the community of Morgan by Shane Rapeleye and Local Real Estate Professional Jerry Pierce of MyMorganHome.com

Jason Deere, Dan Truman, and a host of other entertainers will perform Monday February 4, 2008 at 7:00pm in the Morgan High School Auditorium.

A change has been made to present the Trek, A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers this year.  Please come early as we are expecting to fill up.

Featuring Jason Deere an award-winning songwriter and producer who has worked with such artists as Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Jo Dee Messina, LeAnn Rimes, and most recently, SHeDAISY. Also Featuring Dan Truman of Diamond Rio.

How did it feel to walk daily across many miles of plains? What were some of the joys as well as the trials? Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers explores the lives of the Saints after they left Nauvoo. Hear the pioneers' story as you've never heard it before. Experience Porter Rockwell's heartache as he longs for the happy days with Joseph. Imagine a beautiful day on the plains, sun shining warmly and wind blowing gently through the grass. Feel the joy of safely reaching the Salt Lake Valley, as well as the sorrow for loved ones left behind. Understand the pioneers' story through powerful songs and narration. Trek is the sequel to 2005's Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet, seen in concert by more than 100,000 people across the United States. Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers continues the story, with world-class songs and musicians.

The Trek, A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers was a success.  I hope you had the opportunity to attend this wonderful event.  The high school was packed as the night started with a tribute to the Morgan Trek experience 2007 produced by Matt Barr.  The evening continued as the theme of Trek was emulated through music.  It was truly amazing to bring this kind of talent to Morgan to share through music the courage and convictions of our pioneer ancestors.  I would like to thank Jason Deere, Tony McClellan, Dan Truman, Mindy Gledhill, Ron Saltmarsh, Brad Hull, Tim Gates, and especially Shane Rapeleye for the unforgettable evening.  I would love to hear your feedback regarding this event.  Please blog, e-mail, or call me.  If you didn't get a chance to purchase a CD and still want one, please visit www.NashvilleTribute.com or www.DeseretBook.com
